First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament      Dec 7 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm. Vocations hour at 6 pm, Benediction at 7:45 pm followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up at the Info Counter.

 

Extra-Ordinary Ministers for Holy Communion (EMHC)          We give thanks to our present EMHC whose term of service is completed with the end of this liturgical year.  As the new group will start next Sunday, I ask that you keep them in your prayer.

 

Rite of Acceptance  Next week our catechetical inquirers will be accepted by the church as catechumens.  Please pray for them and their godparents for the preparatory retreat.

 

Additional Confession Session  From now on, confession is also available here from 4:15 - 4:45 p.m. every Saturday.

 

I Believe in Christmas”   You are all invited to this singing celebration with witnesses sharing at the Parish Hall on Dec 15 (Sat) at 7:30 p.m.   Free Admission.  Please bring your families and friends, and/or donation for CWL’s Food Bank Drive.  Come and join the music!

 

To Love is to Give” Food Drive    Our parish’s Catholic Women’s League (Chinese) is going to run a Food Drive for the Richmond Food Bank during Advent from Dec 1st to 16th.  Collection boxes will be located next to the Parish Gift Shop, and counter will be set up every Sunday Mass.  Please drop off non-perishable food items for helping those in need.

2.       “YOUCAT”    is a catechism in color which is recommended by our Archbishop to everyone to consolidate our faith this year.  It is available at $12.

Youth Ministry Sunday: Dec 2   To assist the work of Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry in providing formation, training and support for youth ministry.  Youth ministry in our diocese continues to grow.  Parishes with active youth ministry programming will receive a rebate from this collection.  Please be generous.

 

Feast of Christ the King  inviting Catholics Home         Today we celebrate Christ the King, however it is not an earthly kingship, it is rather a kingship of truth.  As we are reminded in John’s Gospel, “For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth.”  Pray for those who search for truth that they will hear the message of Catholics Come Home and return to the sacraments.

 

Catholic Movie        All are invited to a free movie on the Life of Pope John Paul II on Dec 1 (Sat), 1:00 p.m. at the Parish Hall.

 

Knights of Columbus

What it means to me?”  Advent Retreat will be held at St. Monica Parish this Saturday from 9:30 a.m.  Cost $15 each including lunch.  Please contact Michael Wong at 778-834-3333 for tickets.
